Kaloulis - Est. 1884

Reviving Kaloulis brand since 1884. Restoring a timeless legacy to the modern era. Welcome to our journey of heritage and innovation!

Founded in 1884 in the city of Kalamata, the distillery and confectionery factory of the Kaloulis brothers, Ioannis and Panagiotis, marked the genesis of an era. It stood as the inaugural facility for halva production in Greece, serving as a supplier to the Hellenic Royal Court. Today, 140 years later, our familial narrative persists.

Superior taste in every drop

The packaging of our Extra Virgin Olive Oil in pouches serves as a protective barrier against oxidation, ensuring that the oil retains its exceptional quality and freshness. The innovative design of the pouch, combined with the pouch tap, isolates the olive oil from air exposure each time it is dispensed, preserving its rich flavor and nutritional benefits. This packaging solution helps prevent oxidation, which can degrade the quality of olive oil over time, ensuring that every drop maintains its superior taste and health properties.

The design of our pouches ensures that even the last drop of Extra Virgin Olive Oil dispensed is as fresh as the moment it was extracted from the olive factory, offering a significant advantage in preserving the oil's exceptional quality and taste.

Kaloulis EVOO Test Analysis

ACIDITY
Test Analysis result

0.50

Low acidity indicates the quality of olive oil. The maximum limit should be 0.80.

ΔΚ
Test Analysis Result

-0.005

The ΔΚ index is a criterion that examines whether the olive oil has been adulterated with other lower quality oils. The value should be negative with an upper limit of 0.01.

Κ 232
Test Analysis Result

1.60

High values of K 232 index indicate potential distortion of olive oil due to aging or incomplete production processes. Storing olives before pressing for a long period can lead to increased K232 values. Extra virgin olive oil typically ranges between 1.5 and 2.5.

Κ 268
Test Analysis Result

0.14

K 268 index measures the percentage reduction in the resistance of olive oil to oxidation, during testing in the Gas Chromatograph (GC) with light wavelength 268 nm. This value depends on how fresh the olive oil is, with old olive oils or blends of old olive oils having increased values. The upper limit for extra virgin olive oil is 0.22.
