Ioannis Kaloulis
Was the founder of Kaloulis brand along with his brother Panagiotis Kaloulis in 1884 when their factory was established.
In the year 1884, a trailblazing journey began in the charming landscape of Kalamata, Greece. Ioannis Kaloulis, along with his brother and co-founder Panagiotis Kaloulis, embarked on an entrepreneurial endeavor like no other. Together, they founded an establishment committed to creating exquisite beverages and confections. What set their venture apart was its pioneering spirit as the very first producer of halva, a delicacy revered not only for its delectable taste but also for its exceptional nutritional value.
Under Ioannis and Panagiotis Kaloulis' meticulous guidance, a brand of unparalleled distinction emerged. It became synonymous with reliability, and a profound commitment to making a positive impact on society. This legacy of excellence earned the admiration of both Greek and international connoisseurs, a tradition that continued well into the mid-20th century when the enterprise gracefully took its leave. It's worth noting that even the Greek Royal family held a special affinity for Kaloulis' products.
Fast forward through two generations, and today, the great-grandson of this visionary luminary is passionately resurrecting the historic brand. In a world that increasingly recognizes the profound importance of olive oil in a healthy diet, we have deliberately chosen to offer consumers, both in Greece and around the world, a range of exceptional products, with extra virgin olive oil being the crown jewel. Our commitment lies not only in delivering unwavering quality but also in paying homage to a timeless heritage, dedicated to enhancing the gastronomic pursuits of discerning modern epicures.
